Our Review:
I purchased a bunch of things from Baby Bat about a month ago, and have been using them consistently. I tried out 2 matte eyeshadows in Doomsday and Blunderbuss, 2 matte lipsticks in Bonfire Babe and Euphoria, and 2 highlighters in Mermaid Dreams and Priestess. Here is everything swatched below:
I absolutely love everything I tried by Baby Bat.
The matte eyeshadows are extremely pigmented and blendable. It’s very obvious when you look at the pan that they are handmade, which I love. They kick up a bit when you dip your brush in the pan, but just tap off before you apply to avoid fallout. I personally prefer “dustier” matte shadows because I find them easier to blend and brighter. Check out the video at the end of this post to see them in action.
I’ve been using the liquid lipsticks quite a bit in the past few weeks. Bonfire Babe is such a pretty every day color for me. I love warmer burnt orange shades. Euphoria is also gorgeous, brown lipsticks are by far my favorite. The shimmer is pretty but not too much at all. They’re very long lasting and one of the more comfortable formulas I’ve tried. They don’t build up and get crusty when you reapply. The reason I keep reaching for them is not just because they’re pretty but because they’re also comfortable. Be sure to shake them every time before you use them, Euphoria separates a little bit in the tube when it sits.
The highlighters are bold and pretty! I find the two shades I tried to be very different in finish. Mermaid Dreams is very smooth and dewy looking. It looks purple when applied, and is not subtle at all. Priestess is more glittery and could be added as a topper to just about anything to make it golden. If anyone tried the Kat Von D Gold Skool highlighter, this is a perfect dupe. I had that highlighter but I no longer use her products so I’m glad to have an awesome indie dupe.
All in all, I highly recommend their brand. Their products are beautiful, come in very unique colors, and perform very well.
