In 2021, the plastic-free beauty brand Unwrapped Life saved over 2.7 million plastic bottles from ending up in landfills with their everyday beauty care alternatives. Along with offering excellent plastic-free alternatives, Unwrapped Life also has convenient travel tins for those of us on the go.
As a part of their continued dedication to sustainability, Unwrapped Life is launching a new collaboration with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that’s planted over 40 million trees since its inception, more than doubling the number of trees planted worldwide annually. In collaboration with the NGO, Unwrapped Life plans to plant 10,000 trees this April, which is Earth Month.
Unwrapped Life will focus its reforestation efforts on the company’s home base, British Columbia, Canada, which was devastated by wildfires last year. In the summer of 2021, entire areas of British Columbia were cloaked in thick, black smoke from the over 300 wildfires raging in the central part of the region. The province estimates over 1.6 million acres of land and forests burned, which was 80% more than the expected damage during wildfire season.
In a press release from Unwrapped Life, the brand says,
“[We are] dedicated to preserving [our] home country’s endangered ecosystems and helping to be a part of the healing process. During the month of April, “The Healer” will help support One Tree Planted’s tree planting initiative in the brand’s native country. Last year, The Healer collected over 2,700,000 ocean-bound plastic bottles, in partnership with Plastic Bank, and is now back for a limited time on a new adventure to jumpstart forest fire recovery and help to plant trees with One Tree Planted.”

The scent is inspired by the beauty of the Earth and Water. The blend of essential oils includes orange bitters, distilled lime, earthy Tonka, and grounding vanilla.
The limited-edition duo is available now, individually or as a duo. The shampoo and conditioner bar both retail for $17 each, and the set of two is $33 USD. The first 100 sales of ‘The Healer’ set will get free gold travel tins.
